Title: RFM12/RFM69 Standby?
Post by: NivagSwerdna on September 01, 2016, 07:22:15 am
Does anyone have experience of using the RFM modules in very low power applications?

I would like to have my module basically OFF for the majority of the time since I have a weigh scale application which will only weigh a few times per day

I am very new to design!

My options seem to be...

Put the RFM12 on the 3v3 power rail (Power rail will be around 3v3, intermittently pumped from cell voltage)
Power the RFM12 from a PIC pin
Switch power to the RFM12 via a MOSFET

Any recommendations?
