Title: Ripped parts off a laptop battery protection board. What can I do with the parts
Post by: technix on May 15, 2015, 08:46:00 pm
Interesting parts besides passives and diodes after hot air gun action on the battery protection module:

* TPC8017H power N-MOSFETs in SO-8 package (2x)
* Benchmarq battery management chipset, 2 30-pin 0.5mm TSSOP packages
*

And please ID those for me as Google turned out not so useful:

* An unknown 8-pin 0.65mm TSSOP chip marked "CEF G72"
* A 3-pin SC-70 chip marked "KK9"
* Two 3-pin SC-70 chips marked "Y C"
* A weird package marked "SEFUSE D6X77C"

The SEFUSE are thermal fuses. Should have a "I'll never work again after this many oC" rating on them. They're pretty cool. Although if you used a heat gun, they're probably buggered.

That SEFUSE probably is dead already or the battery pack won't be thrown away in the first place. I will just throw that away.
