Ruggedized box-Anyone know of any available?
« on: May 26, 2010, 03:47:34 pm »
Hi,
I'm looking for a ruggedized box/case just a bit bigger than a 128 x 64 Graphics LCD (plus room for a few switches). The box will need a cutout for the LCD and some kind of protection for the screen. Anyone know of any manufacturers doing this kind of thing? Just exploring ideas at the moment. What kind of plastic is used in the Fluke multimeter cases as this would be strong enough. The box and it's contents would be used in an automotive/garage environment and needs to be tough.

Thanks,

David.

Pelican makes some great cases that can take a beating.  I'd try one of these Micro cases.  The top is clear, so the lcd could be well protected.  The cases are not designed as a project box but should work well.
