Title: RN42 Bluetooth - Making an HID Host
Post by: mclemens1969 on February 27, 2017, 02:52:47 am

I have incorporated RN42 bluetooth modules on my Atmel XMEGA uC projects for a few years. I have used them to send debugging text, and/or commands back and forth from android phones to the XMEGA using SPP.

Recently I incorporated the HID version of the RN42. My goal was to allow my XMEGA to be an HID host and to read from bluetooth HID wireless joysticks.

It seems that I cannot do that. It seems I can only make HID end devices. For example I could make my XMEGA look like a keyboard or a joystick to my PC.

I am trying to do the opposite though. Does anyone know if its possible?

thanks
