| RPi Compute Module - mechanical support? |
| (1/1) |
| David Chamberlain:
So I have a Raspberry Pi compute module design. When I did the PCB I put the same 2.3mm holes below where the holes in the CM SODIMM are with the idea of sticking some sort of standoff / spacer in later to provide additional mechanical support in adition to the spring loaded clips of the 200pin DDR2 socket. Well later has come and I just cannot find anything suitable, for the next run I could enlarge the hole in my PCB but was hoping someone might be able to link me a product that works. I would rather not resort to a plastic spacer, washers, nut & bolt combo if I can help it and was hoping for something more elegant. These are good but the recommended drill size is 3mm. https://www.digikey.co.nz/product-detail/en/wurth-electronics-inc/702912000/732-9621-ND/5843781 Or these solder metal screw mounts, would also be good but again it's a 3.5mm mount hole, but worst the screw is a M2.5 so larger then the holes in the CM. https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/wurth-electronics-inc/9774025151R/732-7078-1-ND/5320683 BTW I hate these double ended snap lock ones with a vengeance, please do not recommend them. :) https://www.digikey.co.nz/product-detail/en/wurth-electronics-inc/709650500/732-10354-ND/6174573 Or just tell me I should have put a bigger hole in my PCB :) Thanks Davod |
