Solved --- Can anyone recommand me a quality portable Dvr?
« on: August 27, 2016, 06:19:48 pm »
Hi everyone.
I need a portable Dvr to record AV video for a project, but I found most of them on internet are low quality Chinese white brand rubbish. The only one I found good is Philips Pmc7230, but it's highest resolution is 640*480, I want one capable to record 800*600 or even higher, at 50hz PAL, 4:3 format, are there any big brand have those products?
Thanks.

That's the best one on the market, but the price might be out of your budget. If you're looking for something a little cheaper, try looking for standalone game recorders.
Cryptocurrency has taught me to love math and at the same time be baffled by it.

Cryptocurrency lesson 0: Altcoins and Bitcoin are not the same thing.

Its only going to record and display broadcast video formats, so it really depends on what the source is.

I didn't think PAL was capable of even 640x480; much less higher resolutions?

The digital equivalent of "PAL" is 704×576:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/576p
But thats not listed in the supported resolutions of the device, a computer will probably select some sort of 1080p, 1080i, or 720p signal if plugged into the HDMI port.
