S32S24 bring up
« on: May 05, 2020, 04:40:16 am »
Starting to work on a new chip, NXP S32S247. 8 cores in dual lockstep (4 user cores), 16MB of ram! Lots of IO. They still have the Freescale logo on the chip which is a little funny.

Hoping to do a NuttX port "soon" :-DD. There is a FreeRTOS port, fortunately, to use as reference.

First thing out of the box, having issues with JTAG - https://community.nxp.com/thread/528998. I guess embedded is hard enough without using new silicon, one a new JTAG probe, with a new IDE.

Where'd you get this thing out of curiosity? Looked like they were only shipping dev boards to large established customers last I checked.
