SAC305 or K100LD for lead-free hand-soldering?

(1/1)

K3mHtH:
Hey all,
I'm finally transitioning to lead-free solder. I talked to Kester today to find equivalents of my favourite 63/37 water-soluble and no-clean solders and they gave me a few part numbers, with different compositions: SAC305 and K100LD.

I'm unfamiliar with both and all I know from Kester is that SAC305 is more popular and more expensive. If you have experience with either (or ideally both!) please let me know.

My main concern is reliability.. I'll be using this to attach connector headers and 1/4" panel-mount jacks to PCB's, so mechanical reliability is important.

Thanks for your time
