Screw/Fix PCB

PerranOak:
I need to screw (I guess) my battery holder (4xAAA) to my PCB.

The holder already has two countersunk holes of diameter 3.2mm.

What is the normal was to do it? Is the best solution to have a hole put in the PCB then use a self-tapper or use some kind of tiny bolt?

Either way, what make/model of screw/bolt should I use?

Thanks.
soldar:
Countersunk M3 should work for the holder. Depending on the PCB material and the holding needs maybe it will get a grip on the board. If you can use a nut on the other side that solves it.

And you can always use glue.
Benta:
Self tapping M3 into a non-plated 2.6 mm hole in the PCB (provided it's FR-4).

Cheers both.

FR-4?

FR-4?

FR-4 is the fiberglass material that most PCBs are made out of.
