Scullcom Electronic DC Load
« on: December 09, 2019, 10:05:44 pm »
Hi All

I have taken the leap and decided to try to build Scullcom's DC Load project,

He published the Gerber files and i was placing an order with JLCPCB so ordered 5 of his design at the same time. After watching Dave's video on laying out PCB's, i was a little horrified with  his layout,

I decided that i wanted to change the layout and also try to incorporate more SMD parts to the design. Has anyone here made this project and did you run into any problems i should be aware of???????

Many Thanks

He often makes follow up videos to enhance and/or fix problems with his initial designs, and this this one has lots - 10 parts!
I imagine that you've watched these followups, but if not, you should.

And there are a number of threads on this forum covering this subject, so you could get ideas and learn a lot by reading through those also.
