Hi All Looking for some help. I'd like to integrate my home AC control into an Automated Home network, and to do this I plan to attempt to decode the protocol the controller uses. First step was to open a unit and share some pics. <iframe width="480" height="360" src="http://s803.photobucket.com/user/ludzinc/embed/Eevstuff/story"></iframe> Second step is to ask the internet if anyone has done it before so I can lean on your work ;) Thanks for any help / tips / advice and I'll share any future succcess with you all. Cheers! |

|O how's it going , any success this looks similar to my controller which died a few weeks ago :-// . So I would really like to know if this is some sort of serial connection similar to the Reverse cycle A/C posted here . So I tool would like to know if I can insert a arduino or ESP8266 device to control my Evaporate cooler. |

Its a little hard to work from your pictures (extreme angles, rather than flat) But from that 4 pin connector at the bottom, you have Ground to plane, the fat trace will be power, The third pin connects directly to the pic microcontroller from what I can see, and while I cant see what the 4th pin does, I suspect another data line or as simple as not being present If its 1 data line, I would expect something similar to K-line, an older industrial 1 wire protocol, Its pull down only, If 2 wires, then maybe something else. if its direct to the CPU there are not many things it could be. |
