Hi,

I'm doing a project where I'm adding sequential indicators to my mk6 Vw Jetta taillights.
I'm planning on using the DRL function for reverse lights to increase the lighting when reversing.

When turning on the light strips with 12v to the turning signal wire the lights flash white before turning yellow.
This is a issue as I don't want the white lights to flash everytime I turn on the indicator when installed on my car.

Below is a video showing the problem. It will show better if you lower the playback speed a little.

My knowledge of electronics is not enough to fix this issue.
Below is a picture of the controller board. I would really appreciate if anyone could help me with this. I was thinking that could a resistor or a capacitor help with this?

At the top the black is (-) for white and yellow. Red is (+) for white and yellow is (+) for yellow.
At the bottom the black is (-) for white and yellow. Red is (+) for white and blue is (+) for yellow.

Is that the official controller for the light cluster or something you have added?

More details on what modifications you have made or are trying to make including a circuit diagram might help.
