Serial audio to USB audio input?

(1/2) > >>

JFK422:
Hello Everyone

So, I'm trying to rework my audio setup and for that I planned to connect my (Capacitor) Mic together with a DSP and a DAC.
I've selected already some IC for the DAC (AK4490EQ), ADC (AD7176-2) and DSP (ADAU1452) but now I dont know how to connect it with my PC. (Preferrably over USB)
So does anyone know an IC/IC's which can bring serial audio to and/or from a PC in order for the DSP to take care of what goes where. Also it would be helpful to know if I did select the correct IC's so far.
In the attachment, there is a small overview of my plan.

Thanks in advance

USB chips are difficult to get, mostly due to USB licenses (which are expensive!)

Look for C-Media or XMOS.
There are some boards available on ebay etc.

USB doesn't need a license, it's an open standard without royalty. It only needs a pair of VID/PID, which you can assign a random one.
Search USB to I2S module on eBay, there are a lot of them, some are standard XMOS solution, some are Amanero or its clone.
Also, check out miniDSP, they have I2S interface boards based on XMOS solution.
I'm also working on one based on Blackfin+ BF700 DSP, but that won't hit the market until the next February.

Are you sure about that?
A couple of years ago I did a very similar quote for a professional solution and they responded with just $20000 to even use USB2.
But maybe that was just for the driver part?

You may discard the DSP, and to DSP on PC side
