Help indentifying mystery part (inductor? electromagnet?)
« on: March 20, 2019, 10:27:21 pm »
Can someone help me identify this mystery part.
It appears to be about 1CM in diameter and the pictures are too grainy to get the proper part # off of it. The best I got is:

CT-7216-S
MTX-28-S
CET 1150LS

But I think all that's wrong since google isn't coming up with anything. In this case, there is a metal core and it is acting like an electro-magnet. So I don't know if the part is an actual electro-magnet or if it is just an air-core inductor that has had a core added..  anyways, that's a lot of "i don't know"'s!

What's it from?

It sounds more like it'd be an inductor than an electromagnet but obviously whatever it was pulled from would help a lot.

You really expect people to waste their time trying to second guess you, when you give no context of where it is in a circuit (PCB picture) etc., what piece of equipment it is used in / come out of?   :-//

It's either a cored inductor or something else, depending entirely on context.
