So, I get what you're saying, and it is correct, no doubt.
I was thinking of something more line what you get to see at EMC, and the fixes that are applied to at least test the principle of the fix... that does not need a board respond, but it does give you a good feel for the topic
I have a PWM signal superimposed on to an analog sensor output, the cause of which I think is that the ground is shared between the two and it goes to another board via a ribbon cable.
If I wanted to test fixes I would love to have a set of tricks that I know will work in that scenario having played on a board with a similar problem before.
That's the sort of thing I'm driving at...I don't think there is anything like that available but perhaps it might be something someone has come across before...
