Simple battery meter in raspi project
« on: December 19, 2019, 08:34:24 pm »
Hi!

I´m in need of a simple battery meter for device that needs to tell its battery status over a ip network.

The device loads a raspi so i´ll use this one for the input...and on to the network. I dont want to use the i2c or the spi intefaces so
im now left with the gpio´s.

So, what i came up with was the LM339 and four of the raspi's gpio´s. I´ll get four voltage thresholds to display battery health.

Now i wonder if there is even a easier way to do this with even less of the gpios or another smart way to use them that i missed, another
ic maybe?

Cheers

A ds2450, 1 gpio and the w1-gpio kernel driver

The DS2450 is a great idea, but it´s obsolete, right?
