SN74LVC1G19 1 bit inverter?
(1/1)
NivagSwerdna:
For a circuit I am looking at I need a nCS and I have a signal which is CS... so basically I need a 1 bit inverter and I need it small and cheap and efficient etc...
I came across SN74LVC1G19 which seems a bit weird but might work... for me nE would always be LO
Would that be a sensible choice?

A mux..? ???
Recommend avoiding LVC unless you need the speed or some special features. HC is abundant, and you're looking for the '04 or '14. So, *74HC1G14.
If you don't need speed, and a little current consumption is acceptable, also consider a pull-up resistor and a switching transistor, MMBT3904 (also with base resistor) or 2N7002 for example.

74HC1G14GW looks perfect! :-+

There are a plethora of single-gate logic (aka kludge logic) families available from several suppliers. CMOS 4K, HC, AC, LVC etc. Just find the one that matches the rest of your circuit.

One-gate logic is the greatest invention since sliced cheese.
It has saved more than one engineer, myself included, to kludge a gate with diodes, resistors and transistors. What is euphemistically known as Mickey Mouse Logic.

And with packages sizes ranging from SOT23 and smaller, total board real state is similar to a single discrete transistor.
