Software/Spreadsheet for transformer calculation

Guys, does anyone have any software or a spreadsheet with calculations for transformers?

I have not designed a transformer in ages but if you give us your specs maybe I or others could give it a shot.
All my posts are made with 100% recycled electrons and bare traces of grey matter.

Write yourself one based on: http://ludens.cl/Electron/Magnet.html, as I've done myself for my specific needs(hf toroids).

I wanted simple software or a spreadsheet to calculate single-phase transformers up to 500VA

That's for large distribution transformers. The OP is looking for "single-phase transformers up to 500VA".

You want to design and build a 500 VA mains transformer for 120 or 240 V ?

DES: The normal desing process is to choose a lamination, core size and stack according to the VA and mains freq, then to calculate turns ratio, and finally the wire sizes and # trurns based on bobbin winding area.
There is no spreadsheet that does this to my knowledge.

The software we used for decades was Intusoft Magnetics Designer,

One of the best and easiest to use.
But sadly the creator passed away, but it  is still available.

How many do you need? Just one?
Are you familiar with safety, wire, bobbins, laminations, impregnation?
I do not reccomend DIY transformers for mains use.
Off the shelf transformers are readily avail, see Mouser/DK/RS/Farnell.

I built one, back in 2010-11

they are attached.

basically its a brute force method of calculating the available area, then path length, then lookup tables for the wire diameter and how many can actually fit. it will happily work with 120% fill factor and negative bobbin thickness, so you have to verify all the numbers in the spreadsheet are accurate. 

it does not have any leakage inductance calculation so you can expect a little more voltage drop under load than what is predicted.

the inductor calculator spreadsheet is similar, it does not calculate fringing flux but it does work up the inductance from first principles properly.

Have you considered creating a database to store and manage transformer data? Using a relational database airtable could be beneficial, allowing you to organize and analyze transformer specifications more effectively. With a structured database, you can input transformer parameters and perform calculations as needed, customizing it to suit your requirements.
