Sony "surround" amplifier TA-SA100WR
« on: February 08, 2023, 08:32:54 am »
I got this audio ClassD stereo amp, said to be in working condition. 2×80W rms with built in SMPS is something I would love to put to use. I also have the plug-in DSSS transceiver.

Unfortunately, it seems it is only a part of an obsolete wireless streaming system, and needs at least a "master unit" with its own transceiver.

I know nothing of this wireless method, but want to find some way of connecting an audio source, with or without wires.

I found an excellent service manual, with schematics and pcb layouts, and I attach it below.

Please would a guru advise me what to do.

I think you'll be wasting your time with that unit. Everything is done in the digital domain, right from the wireless board to the class D amplifier. The only analog section is for the headphone output, but you want an analog input?

Looks like it's just a matter of convincing it that there's a link (no idea how difficult that will be) and giving it I2S.
