I just wondered if anyone knew if there was a source of Vero ABS boxes in the UK? Years ago I got them from RS, but they are not listed any more and Vero themselves don't list them.
I don't have their original part number. Their external dimensions are 189 X 49 X 23 mm and they have removable plastic end plates at each end.

Not same size / colour but similar construction

Thanks for the info, they look close to what I'm after. I don't think they have the PCB mounting pillars which could be a pain.

Check Aliexpress (search for 'plastic enclosure'). There are many different enclosures there. While shipping would take a while, you could order 10 and be done for some time.

There's a company called BPS that makes boards specifically sized and shaped to fit a few of the small Hammond boxes. I don't think any are identical to what you need, but they might be worth looking at. I know Mouser carries them, I bought one a few years ago.

I already have the boards, just need the boxes. Looking at the dimensions of that Hammond box, it's close but not quite right - how frustrating!

Deephaven. The ESR boxes ...They do have 4mm studded pillars and vertical card slots .

I need 10 straight off, but would prefer a UK source. I've not had an experience on the reliability of people on Aliexpress, could be a bit hit or miss and, as you say, there's the lead time.
-
Personally I have found Aliexpress fine, it's equivalent to (Chinese) eBay in terms of lead time and reliability.

Thanks. I've emailed them to get dimensions.

Vero has been through various restructurings etc over the years.
Currently, there appears to be two companies with confusingly similar names!
Verotec in Eastleigh: www.verotec.co.uk (http://www.verotec.co.uk)
Vero Technologies in Hedge End: www.verotl.com (http://www.verotl.com)
Your case looks like the Veronex range from Vero Technologies, but I can't find the exact dimensions on their website.
This looks like the closest one: www.verotl.com/en/product/emc-veronex-case-180-x-50-x-30-with-battery-compartment-part-number-75-245327 (http://www.verotl.com/en/product/emc-veronex-case-180-x-50-x-30-with-battery-compartment-part-number-75-245327)
Have you tried calling them to see if they can help?

I owe your a beer! They look like the ones. I went looking on one of the Vero websites, not realising there was another site.
Many thanks :-+
