SPDIF / TOSLINK Output from CSRA64215

(1/1)

Ale2.0:
Hello dear community

I am using a CSRA64215 to receive Bluetooth audio and to control the bluetooth-host. Now my Father wants a similar thing but without a DAC and just with an optical output.

I have read in the datasheet of the CSRA, it should be able to output the needed datastream. Or so.

Thats where I am stuck. I don't really know what I need to input into the optic out. Can I just use a red Led with the connector and output the pcm stream of the CSRA?  I sadly just am able to find user grade information about using optical output. If you have information so please feel free to suggest me some links!

Thanks for any help and enjoy summer!

The data sheet indicates I2S port outputs. So you need to add an S/PDIF transmitter like TI's DIT4192 or DIT4096, which takes I2S in and outputs AES3.

Hey there

Yes I have now seen that it's just spdif in and no out!

Thank you very much for the chip recommendation, seems like the best option to go for!
