Hi,
Recently rebuilt some speaker crossovers, renewing the capacitors and rewiring the rest of the components.
There is now a speaker imbalance so will be checking everything out, but wondered if the direction of the two inductors in each speaker are wired would make any audible difference , one is ferrite one in air cored.

For the inductors shown there can be inductive coupling to neighboring parts -especially inductors. As an example if you take 2 of those in series, the inductance could vary from maybe 1.8 time to maybe 3 times to inductance of 1 part.
The inductor with ferrite core might show some nonlinear effects too. It depends on the ferrite material used - so a core can be OK but can also be bad.

The inductors should be mounted such that the winding axes are perpendicular, that the two axes are in different parallel planes separated by 2-3 times the largest inductors maximum dimension. These inductors should also be mounted away from other conductive materials like speaker driver frames or terminal plates, especially if they are steel. Finally, the ferrite core inductor should be far from the driver magnet.
