Using LTSpice with Potentiometers
« on: May 16, 2016, 05:44:57 am »
Hi Dave

This is my first forum question.  You started doing some videos on LTSpice demos, I was wondering if you could explain how to use potentiometers in the designs?  The things that I have seen in the example circuits from Linear Technology that they have some pots in their designs, but the parts lists don't show any standard potentiometers.
I have gone to the Yahoo Groups-LT Spice and downloaded some potentiometers symbols and .lib files.  But these are potentiometer files someone have made, that you have to import into LTSpice.
I think that you were doing some basic how to videos with LTSpice awhile ago.  I was looking on the forum about potentiometers, but nothing was done.
Could you do a video on using potentiometers in LTSpice?

                                                                                          Later Ray.B

Here is a sipmle example with the necessary files. Place asy file in C:\Program Files\LTC\LTspiceIV\lib\sym\MyLib (you will have to create a folder) and place sub file in the same folder your project (asc) is in.
Run the example.
