| Stacked board |

I am designing a stacked board, something like this, https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=images&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwjP39yW5bDfAhVMThoKHVlvCIkQjRx6BAgBEAU&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.datasoft.com%2Fproducts%2Fsidebridgesom%2Findex.html&psig=AOvVaw3Cl1MTiHHdDLgm_G3Rat1e&ust=1545477148962050 The top board has these connectors, https://www.hirose.com/product/en/products/DF40/DF40C-80DS-0.4V%2851%29/ and https://www.hirose.com/product/en/products/DF40/DF40C-50DS-0.4V%2851%29/ and I would to place components between the boards but there’s not enough height for that. Can someone recommend solutions please? I thought about designing an adapter just to create height. Maybe and adapter and cables to place it somewhere else. Maybe I can put a small pcb under the connectors to create height. what do you think? Thanks in advance |

I thing the easiest solution would be to use higher connectors if this is possibility |

Hirose do make taller stacked connectors, not to sure on what the series is called but I have found them in VDO gauges, about 22mm board to board when mated. |

Thank you for the quick reply. I found these connectors https://www.hirose.com/product/en/products/DF40/DF40HB%284.0%29%2D50DS%2D0.4V%2851%29/ and https://www.hirose.com/product/en/products/DF40/DF40HC%284.0%29%2D50DS%2D0.4V%2851%29/ 4 mm height is enough for me. Now the problem is that I don't know if I can connect a male with 1.5 mm height https://www.hirose.com/product/en/products/DF40/DF40C%2D50DP%2D0.4V%2851%29/ with one of that female connectors. |
