Title: Strange Victoreen tube?
Post by: KJ-90 on June 14, 2017, 04:14:00 pm
I have a strange Victoreen Corotron high voltage regulator tube that I found from my father's estate. The tube is about the same size as a 6V6GT tube, with the numbers GV9A-2800. It has a clear glass envelope, with a single top cap, and a black bakelite base. Inside the tube are four cold cathode elements. Each element's anode is connected together to the tube's top cap, but I'm not sure about which base pins the cathode elements are connected to. I have been completely unable to find any data on this tube online, even after at least 2 hours of searching. It doesn't appear either in any vintage Victoreen catalog online, either. Does anyone know the technical specifications for this tube?
