Hi,
Quick RF question. I have some spare Mini-Circuits Gali-52+ amps on hand from repairing a piece of equipment. I'd like to make a small general purpose LNA board with them. The reference design I have seen (and the thing I repaired) uses a Mini-Circuits ADCH-80A wideband choke for the bias to the amplifier. Unfortunately, the minimum quantity is 20 on Mini-Circuits website. I was hoping to find a cheaper alternative.
Is it possible to select a substitute fixed inductor and maintain the wideband nature of the circuit? The ADCH-80A is good for 50 MHz to 10 GHz. My application would be fine with 50MHz to 2 GHz. I understand SRF is a factor when selecting a choke for a specific frequency, but I'm not sure how to handle the wideband requirement.
Thanks!
