I'm looking for a single IC (or a small IC set) solution for DMM that could be entirely controlled from MCU via SPI/I2C or another digital interface.
Autonomous operation with display/keyboard/etc is not required, analog to digital frontend only type of solution is preferred.
Desired precision in resistance/voltage/current modes 0.1% or better, 20-50k counts full scale or better.
Autoranging is appreciated, the more quantities it can measure the better.
Just throw here whatever you think fits the description.

TC500 is a good hint, but it doesn't do full job.
What I want from that thing is to handle all measurement by itself, so I could tell it what to measure by writing some registers and to get measurement result by reading other registers. Just imagine replacing DMM display and all of keys / switches with an SPI port. Of course, input protection and sensing elements and all passive stuff has to be made with external components.

Looks like HY313x fits better, but I have to read datasheets with more attention to details.

The TC500/TC510 are really old ones, with not much more than an ADC and input buffer.
The HY313x are a lot more modern, more like modern DMMs.

Sorry to revive the old topic, but it's probably not good to start a new. I remember once a few years ago I saw an Application Note talking about a TC500A application in a simple 5 digit (if I am correct 79999 count) DC voltmeter with serial out (Arduino maybe read it and display for LCD?) and some time now i have tried to find this material but it seems that it is no longer available on the internet :(
Has anyone may have come across a possible Application Note here and maybe can guide me to find this? I have Microchip TC500ACOE part and I need only simple "panel voltmeter", if this 79999 count is right what I remeber, then this would meet my needs.
I need it to increase my simple milliohmmeter range.

Last time when I was in contact with them the MOQ was 1000 pcs.

surely you could find some code snipets schematics ??
The TC500 could be interfaced to an lpt port too ... and its not expensive +/- 6$ usd ??
