Switched regulator 5v 8A SMD (to replace XL4016)
luiHS:
Hello.
I have been using the XL4015 and XL4016 switched regulators for a long time. The first is SMD, but the second is THT.
Somebody know any switching regulator integrated in a single chip, which can give 5v 8A?, I look for an alternative to the XL4016, but in SMD.
Regards.

Thank you, but Texas solutions are expensive and complex, they do not have a chip that does it all, such as the XL4016.

Frankly, it would be more efficient and cheaper with separate controller IC + 2 MOSFETs (or one dual in single package).
jonroger:
The XL4016 requires about the same number of external parts as TI solutions.
