Resistance and Capacitance for any 2D shape
« on: April 29, 2015, 07:32:23 am »
Maybe that solves no real life problems at the moment, but it looks interesting. The are two small pieces of software.

Resist2D shows a voltage drop and a current flow in the flat arbitrary surface (e.g. PCB track or flat thin film resistor like in http://www.eevblog.com/2015/04/04/eevblog-730-thin-film-resistor-networks/)
Cap2D shows a charge density and a potential/voltage in the two layer capacitor cross-section, for two arbitrary 2D shaped plates (png or other bitmap defines the  shapes).

There's also ATLC http://atlc.sourceforge.net/ for the ideal impedance of an arbitrary cross section transmission line.

Sweet. Thanks.
