Title: Tesla coil from ebay Chinese parts
Post by: henry_jacobs@hotmail.com on November 08, 2024, 07:29:35 am
I'm trying to build a Tesla coil using Chinese parts from eBay without much success. Only getting a 3-inch spark that is barely visible. Ha anyone else tried to do this or has used the parts? The attached file has pictures of the parts that I am trying to use. I have also purchased the board and stuffed it with parts for the Universal DRSSTC Tesla Coil Driver 2.7 Rev C. Trying to tune it now. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Dear Henry: Bravo for the effort, I have been making Tesla Coils since 1950s .

my first vacuum tube coil was from this article in Electronics Illustrated magazine, 1959...

So the photo its just Dangerous Chinese junk.  the result is normal. Beware that HV high freq  Can destroy any other electronics
dont run it for more than a minute at a time....

If you are serious to explore Tesla Coil HV, Suggest to   learn about Tesla Coils ( And Nikola Tesla) and HV before you proceed.
