Title: The SynthiMuse - shameless self-promotion.
Post by: ninthlamp on February 27, 2017, 01:55:07 am
Hi All

My first post with a request for comments on my nearly completed product.

www.synthimuse.com (http://www.synthimuse.com)

It's a MIDI composer that has an 'analog' user interface modelled on the venerable synths of the 1970's
It has :
A built-in microphone
An audio input
Filters to discriminate the pitch of the audio
An analog white noise generator for genuine randomness.
Standard MIDI Input/Output
USB MIDI
A couple of microcontrollers. One dedicated to USB  MIDI, the other handling the main functions.
A later variant will have an analog output to be able to drive 1V/Octave analog synthesizers.

Your observations and comments welcomed.

Many thanks.

Hi,

I like the design of your panel - how did you realise that?  Front panels and casings in general are a perennial problem for me...

Hi Dave
Thanks for the compliment.
The panel design was done in 'Inkscape' before being imported in to Adobe Illustrator because it was the format needed by the enclosures manufacturer.
I highly recommend 'Inkscape'. It does so much and it's open source.
