Having trouble with a lcd controller.

Hi everyone. I'm having trouble with a lcd controller board a picked up off ebay. I bought this cheap and was planning a build of a fpv ground station around it. I also bought a cable to hook it up and a lcd pannel.

The panel is a LP150X08_A3, which is listed as a supported panel under the listing.
I have installed the correct firmware for the panel, however when I hook it up I don't get anything on the display. I have tried it on another panel (LM185WH1) and it works fine. I'm not sure what's going on. Perhaps I bought the wrong LVDS cable?
