TO220 rail splitter?

<< < (7/7)

I bodged an inductor (3.3µH) into the output of the DC/DC converter to get rid off the noise (well, yeah, I should have added another capacitor as well for a proper LC filter, but just adding the inductor showed great improvements). I could also track down the source of the other noise which was a bluetooth transmitter in the end.
Anyway, now the measurements don't looks all so bad. It's a shame though that the Chinese guys there messed up the layout and design quite a bit and instead added shiny Japanese capacitors by the truckload which can't fix the noise of the missing LC filter though.

Thanks for the detailed info.
I'm looking for a such converter & would like to build this one myself (to power LM1875 amp)
Can you kindly share the full schematic if possible?
Appreciate your help

0xdeadbeef:
Well, I fear the reverse engineered schematic I posted in #27 is all I got. This should be the complete schematic of the actual rail splitter though. The embedded step up converter based on a XLSemi/KylinChip XL6009 is a just a default design to create the according large positive voltage. I would think you could just replicate the application circuit from the manual or use any other step up converter or voltage source. As I discussed before, there's quite a lot ripple on the output of the DC/DC, so I needed to bodge in a 3.3µH inductor.
Besides I hope you notice my remarks about the temperature of the TDA2030. IMHO the cooler on this board might be OKish für <=1A, but certainly not for much more.

No worries.
This is more than enough to continue
I'll use heat-sink to counter heating issue + inductor.
Saw many modules at aliexpress site. but I've doubt about their mentioned capacity.
Appreciate your help. Thanks
