Zipper Noise reduction

Hi
In my current project, I am planning on using an AD5206 digital pot. I am planning  on using all 6 channels for (effectively) volume controls. Eliminating zipper noise is my #1 priority. Analog Devices suggests using the zero crossing detector in the AD5290 datasheet, but it is designed for only 1 channel. If I wanted to use this for 6 channels, would I simply build a zero crossing detector for each channel and then cascade the outputs of the AND gates together? I am not sure if there is a more elegant solution, but if it works...it works I suppose. My concern is that in some situations, not all the channels would simultaneously be at a zero crossing state and that the pot may not automatically update (As the chipselect line would not go high). Is there a more elegant solution?
