| Transfer GPS Timing Signals over Fiber |

Hello, I want to transfer the 1pps and 10Mhz timing signals from a GPS receiver over fiber. Could I convert the single-ended timing signals to differential CML and connect it directly to the Fiber Optic differential receive pins? I'm thinking about using the Cisco CWDM-SFP10G-1470-20 Compatible 10G CWDM SFP+ 1470nm 20km DOM Transceiver Module. At the destination could I recover the timing signals by converting the differential CML to singled-ended? Thanks, Joe |

If you're already using a WDM network perhaps check if your equipment can do sync-e and use that? |

Will do but I need to design a board to take in the GSP Timing Signals and send that information over fiber and then convert it back. Joe |

You really want to use the GPS receiver as close as possible to your equipment. Driving those SFP modules is not trivial. |

Sounds interesting! |
