Six Axis Robotic Arm
« on: May 22, 2015, 06:42:41 pm »
Hi!

I thought I would start by introducing myself as this is my first post on the EEV Blog forum. I'm a 17 year old A Level Student from the UK currently studying Physics, Maths, Further Maths and Systems and Control. I really enjoy electronics, and hope to become an engineer one day (possibly systems or electronic engineering). I have been watching EEV Blog for a while now, I've learnt a lot from Dave already!

Anyway, onto the main topic of this thread. For this years Systems Project I made a 6 Axis Robotic Arm. It's driven by Seven Servo Motors and has a claw for grabbing, although one day I would like to put a suction cup mechanism on the end. Here's a link to a build video:

I also made a few posts on my blog about it:

I did some pretty cool things with it, such as design and 3D Print a claw for it. I hope to use it as a tool for experimenting with other electronics in the future.

There is a chance some of you may have seen a post about this on another forum, however the project is now done! I ended up getting full marks on my coursework for it, so far so good!

Thanks all!

Alberto
