Well they are kind of qualifiers. The other links you showed me are ones that I have already seen and are disqualified as having a square base. See my crude picture above. The requirements are quite compact. How and what the project is, I can't say. Square LEDs won't fit. But thanks for trying. Now how to order from RS if they are the only game in town. That's another hurdle to get over. Quote from: LaserSteve on Today at 23:12:57 LNG312GKG RS components showing stock. I'm guessing those are like the last on the planet. Steve --- End quote --- |

Two things I know. The plastic through hole LEDs grinds well, we had over 10,000 T1-3/4 packages CNC ground to a special shape for one project about 10 years ago. Need to short the leads before grinding though. Next up, about 5,000 to 10,000 pieces of one color is the minimum enough to justify bringing out the old triangular mold. Talk to Kingbright or Lumex, they like this sort of project. Steve |

I appreciate that they may mill down to a dimension, but at this point the investment to accomplish the end result is most likely out of reach. So unless I can find a ready-made solution at a price point the project will be put on hold indefinitely. Thanks all for your suggestions :horse: . |
