I just saw EEVlog on Linear vs. switching.
I don't understand why the drop out voltage is less when using a PNP pass element vs NPN.
NPN drop is Vce sat + diode drop, but PNP drop is just Vce sat? Can someone explain please.

the n-type has a surplus of electrons, the p-type has holes where electrons should be
