PSU Sony APS-211 (Cisco):: looking for manual and datasheet
« on: October 13, 2020, 03:28:08 pm »
The Sony APS-211 looks like a 1400W PSU made for some CISCO's equipment.
I'd like to reuse it for a CNC because it has a 42V line able to provide more than 20A.

Unfortunately I can't find any datasheet or manual  :-//

Are you sure it's a 42v line ?

48v (PoE) would seem more likely in a Cisco
But then again , if it's one of those 1300w "Square Metal modules w. a handle across the front" (for the 45xx or 65xx), it could be ....

It's the only thing written on the label: 42V line, 60A. And there is a big custom connectors with several pins. Also, it doesn't poweron when you connect it to the 230VAC. I think it's like ATX PSUs: probably some "poweron" signal is required to switch it on.

Yesterday I opened it. Now I am 60% ready with it. At least I have already found how to poweron. There is a Poweron signal  :D
