| Trying to connect speakers to a LED TV with no audio output |

Hello everyone! I just joined, but I've been following Dave's videos for quite a while. My name's Nahuel, I'm from Argentina. Here's what I need your help with: About two months ago I purchased an LG LED TV (not smart). This model is available globally (as far as I know) but this one in particular is assembled here in Argentina. It's the 32LN540B (here in eng). As you can see, it's a pretty basic TV, just for my room. It does have one HUGE flaw: no external audio output. None at all. I have a small set of speakers (amplified, of course) which I used to be able to plug into the headphones socket in my old tv. The problem is that it's new. I don't want to tear it down, at least until the warranty is no longer valid :P So... anything I can do...? Would a small amplifier with two microphones work in some way? I know about electronics, I love it, but I suck at audio stuff... I'm open to all kinds of ideas :P |

Does it have an optical audio out? You could buy a cheap optical amp off eBay. I know you said you have your own speakers, can't see any other way to do it unless you want to tare it down and hook up into the main speakers. |

No external oudio output at all... of any kind :( I know I'm asking too much, but maybe there's some way to capture the audio coming out of the built in speakers using very sensitive microphones...? If it truly is impossible, I guess I'll take it apart and screw the warranty. |

If you are watching TV only what about a set top box use TV as a monitor. |
