TSOP40 adaptor for TL866 pinout
« on: July 05, 2020, 02:37:43 pm »
Hello all,

I have a small PCB with two AM29F080B chips on it. This PCB fits on another board and the reason it's removable it's in case upgrading the firmware of the machine goes wrong.
I am attempting to create a copy of this PCB, including the content of the eeproms.

I have a TL866II-plus which can read those chips but I do not want to desolder them and buy the adaptor: each leg of the chips is already ending up to a pin which I would like to tie to the TL866 in order to red/write the data.

However, looking at pictures of the TSOP40 adaptor boards for the TL866, I am not sure whether the pinout is straight - that is, 1-1, 2-2 etc. It's definitely more complicated for TSOP48 as the TL866 does not have 48 inputs and I can see additional components on the adaptor.

The software is telling me to use the "TSOP40-A 8 bit" adaptor which from the pictures I found does not seem to have any components on it. Would someone point me in the right direction where to find the exact pinout of that configuration?

Thanks!
