In this video, I show how to characterize the Open Loop Gain and Phase of an op amp model. This technique is useful to those who are designing op amps for school projects and to the experience engineer. When using op amp models from venders, it is always a good idea to verify the model. I have spent countless of hours on troubleshooting a design and it turned out that the spice model did not match the vendor's specification. So this is a good way of verifying your models.
