TVS Diode Array D+/D- Pins Reversible
« on: July 29, 2016, 02:26:56 am »
Hi,
I'm laying out a TPD4S014 TVS array on my USB 2 Full Speed host, and I see in the layout section of the datasheet that the D- differential pin is connected ot the D+ input. The datasheet makes no mention of them being switchable, but I can't think of a reason they wouldn't be based on the schematic. Can anyone confirm whether it is okay to do this?

EDIT: Put non existent part name in there

Often, USB filter chips have pullup/down resistors inside, in which case polarity will matter.

If it is as the diagram says, then no, it doesn't matter. :)
