Vampire clips for test fixture
« on: June 14, 2013, 06:53:44 pm »
I have a bunch of boards that I need to build and test in the coming weeks.  Off board, everything is just soldered and wired by hand.  What I'd like to do is solder up the board, with all of the pigtails, and stick it in a text fixture.  I'd like some sort of vampire clip where I can just go through the insulation and make my electrical connections to the test fixture...all of the wires will be cut to length later on in the building process, so it's not big deal that they have holes in them.

I could just strip the wire, but it seem like a waste of time.

Does anyone know of anything like this?  I seem to recall something like this ages ago, but nothing recent is ringing a bell.

Yes, exactly!!  I couldn't remember what they were called.  As soon as you said "bed of nails" it made it easy.  Thanks!!!
