I'd appreciate some direction on building a "Click Counter" to send say Four Clicks in ten seconds to
activate a repeater and say six clicks to turn it off.
I recall building one decades ago with a bunch of 555's but my memory fails me now.
The idea is that lots of UHF walkie Talkies don't have DTMF but have 120 odd sub audible tones.
I'd take the audio out and have that trigger a master timer and then subsequent timers.
I"m also guessing that it's probably a whole lot easier to do with a PIC or atmega
however I've been out any electronic kit construction for a long time.
I've ordered a pic 2 and an uno, but its going to take some time to learn.
I'm wondering if a series of 555's could be a very simple way of achieving this.
As a matter of interest, Aviation uses Remote outlets, you click 4 times,
a radio grabs a phone line, sends a DTMF burst and the remote phone VOX
triggers the remote radio.
Congrats Dave on your You Tube Video's and this web site.
