| Unregulated lm2596 |

I have troubles with my lm2596 power supply. I have this circuit on a pcb and it doesn’t work. Tried different inductors, two types of diodes,... I soldered the components together with a few wires to know if there’s a problem with my pcb... but the output voltage is also just below the supply voltage... Output C = 680uF en load =39 OHM |

You mixed up pin 1 and 2. EDIT: but it's really hard to see with the tangled mess you have created there. |

you're dealing with a switching power supply IC, running at 50-100kHz ... at the very least put it on a prototyping board. It won't work right with wires floating like that. |

Thank you very much thinkfat! I made that mistake when creating the symbol for this part in EAGLE and used my schematic as a reference (bad idea when you're troubleshooting such problems).... Could search this circuit for hours to find that one! |O Now I have to find out if I can mod the PCB... |
