Using NON-lite version of Compute Module 3/3+ in Lite-like configuration

Hi,
I designed a PCB for a client with the same configuration jumper used in the reference design for the USB Boot Enable and also another jumper connecting/disconnecting pins 4 and 6 (SDX_VDD) of CM to 3V3 rail as show in the attached schematic.

My question is, can we use the CM3+ with onboard memory but configured such that it boots from and uses only the external SSD? In other words for it to work like a lite version?

I am asking because they have a little bit of stock of the non-Lite version but not of the Lite one.
