Using USB SiK radio as USB host instead of client

(1/1)

PP3331:
Hi all. I have a device that is normally connected to a PC for relatively low speed data transmission via a USB cable. So, USB host on the PC side, USB client on the device side. I would like to replace the cable with a pair of SiK USB radios. The problem of course is that the radios are USB clients, and I need some way to use one as a host to connect on the device (USB client) side. The device is *not* OTG capable.

Does anyone make a chip or other inexpensive purpose-built (and small) unit for this purpose? Thanks. Stay well.

PP3331:
I'll be solving this with a Raspberry Pi Zero W. I can use its Wi-Fi interface instead of the radios initially. If I need to add the radios later, I have compatible versions that can connect to the Zero W's serial connections. The board includes integral USB OTG master that should drive the client device.
