Hi all- Want to replace very old ceramics at the AC power input. What brands are worth looking at? I'm not sure I'm searching correctly; Digi-Key seems to have almost none on offer, which just can't be right... Thanks. |

What are you searching for? Offhand there's ballpark ten thousand to choose from. Tim |

Mouser seems to have many more. FWIW, when buying a safety capacitor, price wouldn't be my first parameter to look at. |

In further searching I found the Kemet C900 which looks good to me. Still, I'm curious what the go-to brands are for this part. The safety-rated (line rated) caps are sometimes obscurely listed on Mouser and Digikey. On Mouser, they are not listed under Ceramic or Film Caps, rather under Safety Caps https://www.mouser.com/Passive-Components/Capacitors/Safety-Capacitors/_/N-fb8xl?P=1ywpos4 https://www.mouser.com/Passive-Components/Capacitors/Safety-Capacitors/_/N-fb8xl?P=1ywtgly |
