Void pattern on inner layers under inductors
« on: November 27, 2023, 09:46:36 am »
Tesla opened some documents about their 2008 roadster on https://service.tesla.com/roadster, one of which is the HVAC PCB schematic and Gerber files. Upon checking them out I noticed that on the inner layers under the inductors, there is a specific pattern. Can anyone shed some light on why the specific pattern is used here?  Does the radius of the circles on the edge of the cutout matter, or is this related to better manufacturing, since they also use the wavey cutout edge for other void zones?
